Research by Bill Manley, a professor of anthropology at the University of Glasgow. Since the discovery of his tomb in 1922, reason Tutankhamun's death at an early age has sparked the imagination of Egyptologists and the general public. All examinations of the mummy of Tutankhamun, reveal that died at 18 or 19, but some Egyptologists, who base their arguments on sculptural representations, have claimed that it was ten years older and who died more than 25 years.
Some believe King representations show that was sick, and that the emaciated features of several of his statues indicate that died of consumption (tuberculosis), but the king's mummy shows no signs of the disease. In 1968 the mummy was examined again, generating more speculation since it was discovered that the skull had been damaged by a blow to the back of the head. The proposals have been made regarding this issue are several:-as it had suffered damage during embalming;-it was due to a fall-tumor or a car. Several Egyptologists suspect that Tutankhamun was murdered today. The wound may not kill him immediately, but persisted for a time. Unfortunately there is very little historical evidence consistent end of his reign, and the reign of his successor Ay.
Inevitably, there are several interpretations, and have offered all kinds of possible and unlikely scenario. A crucial document that is often cited in this context, is a letter from an Egyptian queen who was kept in the Hittite archives. The queen wrote to the Hittite king: "My husband is dead and I have no children ..." It is possible to interpret the evidence from the tomb of Tutankhamun as a sign of a hasty burial. This is shown by the three gorgeous central and canopic coffins to keep the internal organs were recycled, and several religious statues.
Another point that shows a hasty burial is the use of a relatively small, private tomb, the tomb instead was being prepared in the eastern valley and then use Oh, this could be taken as a lack of reverence for the king. Decor Painted in the burial chamber of Tutankhamun, is unusual because it contains scenes of actual funeral ceremony of "opening the mouth" clearly placed there as an act of legitimation of Ay. Placing a few objects at the site of the tomb of senior officials, is another indication of his hasty burial.
